FAI – Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano is a nonprofit foundation that has been caring for special places in our country every day for nearly 50 years.
FAI’s mission is to protect conserve and protect the historical, artistic and landscape heritage of our country: knowing and reflecting on our past teaches us how to face the present and build the future.
Taking care of heritage is among the best ways to live one’s time, and at FAI we believe that this means not only taking care of places, but also how people experience them.
The Accademia dei Lincei, founded in 1603 by Federico Cesi, is the oldest scientific academy in the world and promotes numerous cultural and scientific initiatives open to the public, such as exhibitions, lectures, conferences, opinions, awards and scholarships. On the occasion of the Trame di Luce initiative, it will be possible to receive a discount on tickets to visit the Villa Farnesina and its historic gardens (Via della Lungara 230). The Villa Farnesina, the representative seat of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, is one of the noblest and most harmonious achievements of the Italian Renaissance. It will be sufficient to present your Plots of Light ticket at the box office.
