HOW TO REACH US

TRAME DI LUCE

Live a splendid and shining experience

the botanical garden

From the garden “of the simple” to the Botanical Garden at Villa Riario-Corsini

The idea of a Botanical Garden in Rome dates back to the late 1200s, with Pope Nicholas III. Inside the Botanical Garden of Rome there are more than 3,500 essences, standing out are 300 monumental centuries-old trees such as oriental plane trees, cork oaks, turkey oaks, oaks, Himalayan cedars of various origins, and the bamboo collection, among the richest in Europe.
In the heart of the Eternal City, between Via della Lungara and the Janiculum Hill, you will find an Eden where you can stroll away from the chaos and enjoy the spectacle of the extraordinary variety of the plant world that is preserved in the Botanical Garden of Rome.

THE ENTRANCE TO THE ACCADEMIA DEI LINCEI

Housed inside the 15th-century Palazzo Corsini, the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei is the oldest scientific academy in the world. As its statute states: “It has the purpose of promoting, coordinating, integrating and disseminating scientific knowledge in its highest expressions within the framework of the unity and universality of culture…” The Accademia dei Lincei holds a rich collection of more than 600,000 volumes scientific, historical, literary astronomical, physical and botanical.
